Ethnopoetics as a Creative Writing Practice
Emphasis in the wiki thus far has been in creating interpretive materials to go along with primary translations and transcriptions from oral/traditional cultures.
Approximately 20% of Alchergina includes original creative WRITING by poets, scholars and others interested in and informed by traditional oral cultures but working from a literary traditions too.
- identify poems / texts that are new, creative writing
- do some preliminary background reading
- propose a list of authors / titles for an exhibit on current practitioners
- determine format for an exhibit page (theme, chronology, featured author)
- write wiki page
- revise/edit
- publish
