Ethnopoetics Style Guide
1. When beginning a new paragraph within the same entry, do not indent and instead create a space between paragraphs. 2. Standard MLA 9th edition format with bibliography/works cited at the end of each page. 3. See authorship bullet-point below 4. Follow proper spelling formats for any websites (ex. MySpace versus Myspace) 5. Follow Americanized spelling of words (ex. Color v. colour, theater v. theatre) 6. For each entry, follow the order of headings: “Overview,” “Commentary,” “Context,” and then “Bibliography.” 7. Do not add any punctuation for these main titles (ex. “Overview:” 8. No pictures should be included in the bibliography. If one chooses to reference a picture, the picture should be included underneath the heading in which it was first
introduced.
9. When embedding an image, keep the picture right-justified and the text left-justified.
(Work in progress. Ordering of rules will possibly be adjusted.)
